Andrew Kingsley is the publisher of Coffee & Cocoa International (C&CI), which his company Siemex International Ltd acquired in September 2001. He has been involved in international publishing for over 35 years and worked for C&CI as Advertisement Manager from the mid to late eighties. Andrew is a holder of a Higher National Diploma in Business Studies has passed the Intermediate Examination of the Institute of Linguists. As publisher, he travels to many different countries throughout the year to promote C&CI. Andrew is married to Sally and lives in South Wimbledon, London. UK.

Albert Scalla, Executive Vice President INTL FCStone LLC, has combined his considerable knowledge of the Coffee, Cocoa and Palm Oil markets with his experience in implementing risk management strategies in Futures, Options and Structured Product in the international commodity markets. 

Albert joined Hencorp Futures, later acquired by INTL FCStone, more than 24 years ago, where he has been an important pillar for the development of Risk Management programs for all participants in the Coffee, Cocoa and the Palm Oil markets; from producers to final consumers 

Albert has been invited as a guest speaker to several international conferences to speak on Price Risk Management for participants in both producing and consuming countries. 

Albert received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a specialty in Finance from Florida International University.  Albert is past President of the Pacific Coast Coffee Association (PCCA).

Dan Bolton is the managing editor of STiR Tea & Coffee and a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars on beverage retail worldwide. He is the former editor and publisher of Tea Magazine and the former editor and publisher of World Tea News. He founded Tea Journey in 2015, a digital consumer magazine for tea enthusiasts. Previously he worked as editor-in-chief of Specialty Coffee Retailer and was CEO of California Beverage Publications which produced Patterson’s Beverage Journal and the Beverage Bulletin. His work has appeared in many beverage publications including Cheers, Fresh Cup, CoffeeTalk and the SCAA Chronicle. Dan was a newspaper reporter and editor for 20 years prior to the start of his magazine career. He has led six publishing ventures since 1995. He is the founding editor of Natural Food magazine, founding editor of Below the Line, a Hollywood magazine for film and video production crew. He resides in Winnipeg, Canada.

Silke Elwers

Dr. Silke Elwers is a Senior Cocoa and Agroforestry Consultant at ForestFinest Consulting GmbH. After graduating from the University of Hamburg, she worked as a biologist at the university’s cocoa research center from 1998 to 2009, where she also did her doctorate on this subject. Silke counts on many years of experience in cultivating cacao, including the selection of suitable land, plants, systems, cacao varieties and adjusted post-harvest procedures in Latin America and Southeast Asia. Silke has successfully implemented and managed large scale cocoa plantations in those regions. One of her areas of expertise is advisory regarding the avoidance of contaminants in cocoa beans on-site and throughout the value chain. Furthermore, Silke dedicated herself in co-editing the “Cocoa Atlas”.

He leads RA’s development of climate-smart and adaptation initiatives that help farmers and communities enhance their resilience and has extensive experience in designing, managing and evaluating community based forest carbon projects, for the benefit of climate change adaptation and mitigation, conservation and livelihood provision. Martin holds a PhD in Forestry from the University of Bangor in Wales and CATIE in Costa Rica, which focused on the carbon and economic performance of coffee agroforestry systems in Costa Rica and Nicaragua, a MSc in Forest Protection and Conservation from Imperial College, and a BA in Development Studies and Music from the School of Oriental and African Studies.
